TOYOTA GAZOO makes it three wins in a row at Le Mans 24h

The TOYOTA GAZOO racing team cemented its dominance at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race by taking its third win in a row on 19-20 September. The #8 TS050 HYBRID of Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Kazuki Nakajima finished five laps ahead of the nearest competitor after a full day and 5,272km of racing.

Five key considerations for successful EV servicing

The past few months may have been some of the most challenging yet for vehicle sales across Europe, but one part of the sector has bucked a declining trend – electric vehicles (EVs). According to automotive data specialist JATO, registrations of petrol and diesel cars in Europe fell by a third year-on-year in June 2020, but EV sales were up almost two-thirds over the same period. Concerns about climate change, advances in battery technology and Europe’s success developing more affordable long-range EVs are all contributing to a rise in demand that could lead to an increase in electric vehicles reaching the aftermarket for servicing and repair.

TOYOTA GAZOO one-two as the WEC returns after lockdown

As the FIA World Endurance Championship returned after an enforced absence during the COVID-19 outbreak, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing were back to their winning ways at the Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on 15 August. The team occupied the top two spots on the podium, with the #7 TS050 HYBRID crew of Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and José María López taking the gold.
